Fenellaverse Studios Diversity & Inclusion Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Fenellaverse Studios believes that great storytelling should reflect the richness, diversity and lived experiences of the communities it serves.

As an independent storytelling studio based in Hartlepool, North East England, we are committed to creating opportunities for people whose voices have traditionally been underrepresented within the creative industries, including disabled people, neurodivergent people, people from lower-income backgrounds, carers, older people, and those living outside traditional media centres.

We are committed to

  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for collaborators, contributors and audiences.
  • Championing authentic regional voices and experiences.
  • Promoting fair access to opportunities regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background or geographic location.
  • Considering accessibility throughout the development, production and distribution of our work.
  • Seeking diverse talent, perspectives and lived experiences both on and off microphone.
  • Encouraging flexible and remote ways of working where appropriate to reduce barriers to participation.
  • Creating stories that reflect a wide range of communities, experiences and viewpoints.

Fenellaverse Studios opposes discrimination, harassment and victimisation in all forms and expects all collaborators, contractors and partners to be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.

We recognise that diversity and inclusion are ongoing commitments and will continue to review our practices to ensure our work remains accessible, representative and welcoming to all.
